Nevis: the ben and the glen
A lovely new book just out by Kate McKinley and published by the Nevis Partnership, exploring the history, geology and geography of Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis. It's one of the most beautiful places in the UK and as well as describing a mountain of interesting facts and stories about the Nevis area it also has some lovely photography.
It's a nice book either for those who haven't yet visited the Ben to find out the background and use as a basis for exploring around or for those who know it well and want to find out some more facts or bits of history of the place. I've been jumping about the Glen and the Ben half my life and live on it's doorstep and the book still taught me a lot of interesting stuff about my favourite place on earth!
